Outdoor activities in the English lesson

I want to share my idea of a lesson activity. I can actually be implemented for any foreign language, but I used it with my English students.
We all know haw difficult it can be to motivate students in the end of the school year. Well, I tried to make the lesson somewhat different. I let the pupils divide into pairs and play the Treasure Hunt. Each pair got a list of things written in English. Their task was to find as many things on the list as possible and document it by either bringing the item or making a picture of it (they all used cameras on the phones). Here is my list, but you can change it:
a twig
some grass
four small stones
a small green leaf
a big green leaf
a yellow flower
a blue flower
a chewing gum that someone chewed on
a CD
a list of all the pupils in the class
a paper clip
a drawing pin
a pair of scissors
a cloud
a black shoe
a white shoe
a piece of jewelry
a rubber hair band
a coin
a tooth
a calendar
etc.
You get the picture, right?
The lesson was a great success. Even the most unmotivated boys ran around the school yard screaming out the English words. I enjoyed the lesson as much as the students.
